The University of New Orleans (UNO) is a public research university located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Established in 1958 as part of the Louisiana State University System, UNO became an independent member of the University of Louisiana System in 1961.

Campus:
UNO's main campus is situated on the eastern edge of New Orleans, near the shores of Lake Pontchartrain. The campus occupies over 200 acres and includes modern academic buildings, student housing, and recreational facilities. The university also has a satellite campus in Jefferson Parish, the Jefferson Campus.

Academics:
The University of New Orleans offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs through its five colleges:
